We were greeted warmly and showed to our table and left to the menu. The starters on the specials board caught my eye with beetroot falafel and goats cheese, but the star of the show for me was the 12 hour cooked belly pork. With an effortless turn round from the kitchen and attentive waiting staff made for a great experience to complete our day.
Read MoreOne year later we have our annual Christmas dinner at the Blue Boar and it’s still excellent. Pork bites yum yum and the Gambas absolutely divine. Steak perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium rare, followed by a yummy banoffee pud. It’s great to return and not be disappointed. Staff friendly, efficient and tentative, even with one chef down they still managed to deliver great food and service. Well done! And the glasses sparkle.
Read MoreI have to say the staff were brilliant. Very welcoming and helpful. I mixed up my booking but they sorted a room for us and went out of their way to do so. The room was very nice as was evening meal. Breakfast was menu was one of the best I have had.

Have eaten lunch at the Blue Boar several times now and have been very satisfied every time. Nice and friendly, service excellent, and the food really very good indeed.
